The United Methodist Church has long-standing statements and policies on the subject. The UMC Book of Discipline and Book of Resolutions contain sections on immigration and refugees.
Look for the cart on June 24th. Children are out of school for the summer – consider purchasing peanut butter, jelly, macaroni and cheese, juice, and other nutritious, kid-friendly foods for June’s collection.

The Outreach Committee thanks Pam Honeychurch and Jenine Furry for becoming certified Early Response Team (ERT) Leaders. They both are now trained to be early responders to disasters.
While UMCOR will continue to respond to relief needs around the world and will continue its ongoing missions, UMCOR’s approach has changed with regards to sourcing supplies needed in other countries.

Help replenish hygiene kits at Eastbrook Mission Barn, our Annual Conference UMCOR satellite, by donating toward the purchase of items for the hygiene kits.
It is not too late to bring your new and gently used CLEAN shoes (pairs only) to help EUMA (Erie United Methodist Alliance) with its Annual Shoe Drive. Sewickley UMC will collect from now until June 3rd.
Your giving makes possible the proclamation of Christ’s peace. Will you continue to support Peace with Justice Sunday? Will you empower local Christians—in Pennsylvania and Arizona and Liberia—to build the kingdom of peace that Jesus ushered in? Special envelopes will be in the bulletins on May 27th, or mark your gift accordingly; you may also select Peace with Justice on Easy Tithe.

The United Methodist Women (UMW) will host a Rummage Sale on Friday, May 11, from 5 PM to 8 PM and on Saturday, May 12, from 8 AM to 1 PM.
ERT Training is for certification in Disaster Response offered in association with UMCOR. Training will be offered May 2, 4, and 5.
In response to recent natural disasters around the country, Eastbrook Mission Barn (WPAUMC) recently sent a truck to UMCOR’s Sager Brown Depot.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 5th! Adults and youth age 14 and older are invited to the work day. SUMC will help process donated items from 9am to noon.
Traditionally, SUMC has selected a United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) relief kit to assemble and deliver to AC at Grove City College each June. This year, we will assemble hygiene kits.
