As a newspaper person, I always loved writing and researching anniversary stories. One year, five years, 25 years… there is value in reflection. We have opportunities to acknowledge and reflect on two summer anniversaries.

We learn to care and share through our “lovables,” so we are designating June as “Lovables” month at SUMC. Please consider joining us as we attempt to fill the lovables bin in our OCC room.

As we moved through early Spring, through April and May, empty shoe boxes kept appearing. We found some in the collection boxes, and some on the ledge above the stairway. Happens every year.

The Fellowship of the Cross is hosting its annual Operation Christmas Child packing party on September 24 in the Sewickley UMC basement classrooms.
FOTC will continue to collect gifts through September and financial contributions through early November. Prayer is always welcome. We will provide an updated list of our needs later this month.
