Come join us for a 4-session video & discussion series this fall at SUMC. Together, in a safe environment, we’ll broaden our understanding of what racism is and how it affects all of our lives. We’ll examine the ins & outs of
white privilege: what it is, where it comes from, and who benefits from it.
During this small-group journey, you will meet women who are absolutely real. Their stories are not fairytales; their examples are not perfect. Yet their lives can give us lessons to live our own best stories.
The Fall 2021 Pittsburgh District Lay Servant Ministry School is pleased to be offering the classes listed below to help laity respond to their personal call in ministry and the life of the church.
On Sunday mornings in September, beginning September 13, the SUMC Education Committee will provide special programming for students in kindergarten through 5th grade during the 9 am contemporary worship service. There will be similar programming during the 11 am worship service.
For the month of September, at the 11 am service, we will be learning about FOLLOWING JESUS.
August 9-12, children’s hearts were touched by God as they participated in our Vacation Bible School Program.
A survey has been mailed to our parents to seek their input concerning our children’s Sunday School and Children’s Church. Please respond to help finalize our plans. A new start date will be published.
Children going into kindergarten through 6th grade, please join us Monday—Thursday, August 9-12, 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
The Sewickley United Methodist Church will have the honor to present our Third Graders with their Bibles during the worship services on September 12.
Children’s Sunday School starts on September 5th.
Leaders and helpers are needed to fill various roles, and we are in need of supplies to create our castle theme for VBS this year.
Join us starting July 11th at 1:00 p.m. for a 6-week course about what spiritual gifts there are, what ours are, and how in the world we can use them.

If you are 11 years of age (or soon to be) or older, you are invited to come and learn about why church… why Jesus? How can you be a Christian while walking the halls of your school, sitting in science class, or playing your trombone? What value is there to faith when you’re just trying to get through middle/high school?
Beginning July 11th at 1:00 p.m. we will be hosting a small group on Spiritual Gifts.
The Sewickley United Methodist Church will celebrate the Class of 2021 during the worship services on June 6.

If you are 11 years of age (or soon to be) or older, you are invited to come and learn about why church… why Jesus? Our time together will be structured as a time of learning and a time of fun, with snacks of course! We will meet every Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm for 6 weeks beginning June 16th.
