Thank You
The Fellowship of the Cross would like to thank everyone who helped make our Easter Egg hunt a success on a gray and chilly Easter morning. It is an SUMC “God-sized” goal to engage in intergenerational activities, and this truly took an intergenerational effort.
The FOTC youth would like to thank everyone who contributed grocery bags to our March campaign.
Thank you so much for your incredible support for our 2026 Candygram campaign. We exceeded our goal and will be able to provide tuition and school supplies for another year for Ruvimbo, the student we are supporting in Zimbabwe through the Nyadire program.
Thanks to you, 27 children will receive gifts this Christmas.
There were so many things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving season!
The final numbers are in: the Sewickley United Methodist Church family delivered 147 boxes to Operation Christmas Child (a new SUMC record!), raised more than $700 for Ornaments 4 Orphans families, and filled 15 care packages for college students in our family.
The Sewickley Food Pantry thanks everyone who contributed to the Thanksgiving food drive.
The United Women in Faith (UWF) thank everyone who helped make the November Rummage Sale for Missions a huge success.
United Women in Faith will meet on Sunday, October 19, in the Simpson Room after the Traditional Service.

As school gears back up again, we want to share the great news of the final number from our collection for Blessings in a Backpack.
Our VBS children didn’t want to go home. We closed our “Block Party” VBS this past week with a lawn party that persisted into the darkness.

As a newspaper person, I always loved writing and researching anniversary stories. One year, five years, 25 years… there is value in reflection. We have opportunities to acknowledge and reflect on two summer anniversaries.

We would like to thank and applaud everyone who contributed love and energy to the nursery, Children’s Church and the Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday in April.
Twenty families enjoyed full Easter dinners thanks to the generous donations of food bags and cash for grocery gift cards.
I would like to thank the Witness Committee and everyone (I counted 37) who attended the “Community Prayer Gathering: Racial Justice” event on the church lawn.
