Thanks to you, 27 children will receive gifts this Christmas.
Our new Neurodiversity Support Team will begin providing sensory kits in the sanctuary area for our 2025 Christmas Eve services.
Please join us Sunday, December 13 at 10:00 am, in between worship services, to help wrap the gifts that were graciously donated for the children in the Kidcelerate program.
Did you ever wonder why the Library Committee at SUMC hands out Christmas ornaments as a gift to people in the church?
Each year during the Christmas season, we as a congregation have the opportunity to show our church staff our appreciation with a small token of gratitude as a monetary donation.
Ring in the holiday season with Pittsburgh’s premier handbell ensemble on Sunday, December 21, at 7:00 pm!
There will be a combined worship service at 10:00 am on Sunday, December 21, which will include our Christmas Pageant and be followed by Breakfast for Baby Jesus.
We will be adorning the sanctuary with small 4.5-inch pots of poinsettias this Christmas.
We continue our tradition of collecting Christmas gifts and new hats, mittens, gloves, scarves, and socks for the children and youth at Kidcelerate.
If you are going to discard any of your gently used Christmas items, the UWF will be happy to have them for our 2026 Rummage Sale for Missions.
On Friday, December 5th, we will join in Sewickley’s Light Up Night by hosting live performances in our Sanctuary starting at 5:00 pm.
Walking the Talk Charity is taking toy donations for their free Christmas Toy Store, which will be held here at SUMC on December 13th from 9:00 am–2:00 pm.
Join us for an afternoon of tea, treats, and live Christmas music by the Perfect Fifth Brass Quintet at SUMC’s Holiday High Tea on December 7th from 1:00–3:00 pm.
We will hold the pageant on December 21st at our 10:00 am Combined Worship Service, with a Breakfast for Jesus to follow.
Join us on Saturday, November 23, from 12:00–6:00 pm as we turn the sanctuary into a sparkling winter wonderland for Advent and Christmas.
The Fellowship of the Cross youth will once again be selling handmade Christmas decorations, including ornaments, nativity sets, jewelry, and stocking stuffers from Ornaments 4 Orphans. Stop by and visit us before, between, and after our Sunday worship services beginning November 9.

The Christmas season has been a time of beauty, joy, and togetherness throughout our church, but now it’s time for the “Unhanging of the Greens!” We’d love for you to join us as we carefully take down the decorations in the Sanctuary, Parlor, Simpson Room, and Hallways and pack them away for next year.
Many notes of thanks for what our church members are doing both within and outside our walls.
