Come with a friend or bring a whole table of friends to a tea party! Sweets, scones, and sandwiches will be served along with several hot teas and punch. Entertainment includes music, magic, balloon art, and a surprise. Prizes will be awarded for hats, costumes, and groups.
FOTC is offering a free car wash in the SUMC parking lot from 10 am until 2 pm, SATURDAY, AUGUST 3. Donations will be accepted to help cover shipping costs for our shoeboxes. The cost of shipping each box is $9, which includes Bible learning materials and classes, which are offered to each child who receives a shoebox.

The SUMC ANGELS have decorated furniture and accessories to make unique and useful creations. These will be for sale on SUMC’s front lawn during Sewickley’s May Mart on Saturday, May 11th from 10 am - 1 pm.
The United Methodist Women will hold its Sale for Missions (formerly called the Rummage Sale) this evening and Saturday, in the church basement.

Thank you for helping to pay down the principal on our sanctuary renovation loan through our sale. Our April choices are Lentil, Wedding, and Stuffed Pepper soups, and Sandra’s hummus. Please see the posters in the sanctuary and Simpson Room for pictures and order forms. Orders are due this Sunday, April 21.
The Sale for Missions will be held Friday, May 10 from 5 PM to 8 PM and Saturday, May 11 from 8 AM to 1 PM. We offer gently used household items, dishes, clothing, jewelry, small appliances, books, puzzles, toys, and one-of-a-kind treasures. All proceeds benefit international, national, and local mission projects supported by the United Methodist Women.
This coming Wednesday, April 10 at 7 pm, at The Maddest Hatter Tea Room (551 Beaver St, Sewickley). The cost is $10 to play, and we need 12 people or more to play. Make your reservation now to play this fun game by calling Sandra Kuriger at 412-741-9473.
The SUMC Youth Group will be selling prayer rocks as a fundraiser to support our various activities. We will be selling the prayer rocks before and after each service on March 31st, April 7th, and April 14th for $10 each.

SUMC is teaming up with the American Cancer Society and Sewickley Relay for Life to raise funds through daffodil sales. Until February 17th, you may place your order via the sign-up sheets in the back of the sanctuary and in the Simpson Room or by emailing Martha Boward (email@example.com). Payment must be made prior to February 17th, as well.

Volunteers are needed to wait tables during the 71st Annual Turkey Dinner on February 14. The dinner runs from 5 pm until 7ish. If you can wait tables for all or part of the evening, please reply or let Lou Ann Scott know. There will be childcare in the nursery for volunteers working at the dinner.

Our Cookie Walk will soon be here. It’s time to break out those recipes! Please donate as many cookies as you can. There’s a sign-up sheet in the sanctuary. There are lots of volunteer positions this coming Wednesday through Saturday (December 12 – 15) for decorating, setting up, and selling. Donna Sawhill and Sandy Kuriger have details.
If you ordered a wreath, it can be picked up after each service this coming Sunday at the parsonage garage. There are also extra Victorian, Cranberry, and Wintergreen wreaths, mini trees, and a centerpiece available at $30 each, and a Classic wreath for $25. If you would like one of the extras, please let Kelly Herman or Pastor Russel know. Proceeds benefit the General Fund.
The Sewickley United Methodist Women agreed to donate some rummage sale household items to a family setting up their own home in Mooncrest, a Moon Township low income housing area. The family is very grateful for the pots, pans, dishware, utensils, toaster oven, and kitchen linens.
