There is an acronym that I use when I am journaling my prayers. Sometimes I stray from this, but it helps to keep me focused. P.R.A.Y. Praise. Repent. Ask. Yield. I love how easy it is to remember and all the pieces it includes. I especially like that it starts with praise! What is the importance of praise as a prayer? Is this only something we can do when we are in the mood? Must we feel every word of praise in order to speak it? What would happen if we all began our days and prayers with praise? Praise the Lord!
