Holy Week begins next week with Palm Sunday, and there will be four more ecumenical services left.

The St. Matthews AME Zion Church and its Daniel B Matthews Historical Society will not be having their Pancake Breakfast this Saturday, March 8th.
During Lent, we are gathering to worship with our siblings in Christ at St. Matthews AME Zion, Sewickley Presbyterian, and St. Paul’s Lutheran churches.
Our sister church, St. Matthews AME Zion, has had to postpone their all-you-can-eat breakfast until Saturday, February 22nd. It will then run each Saturday thru March 22nd. The breakfast hours will be from 8:00 am until noon.
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr service of remembrance is on January 19th. We will have a shared meal together in the Simpson room at 4:00 pm followed by a worship service at 5:00 pm in the Sanctuary.
We will be hosting a Service of Remembrance for Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on January 19th alongside our church partners St. Matthews AME Zion, Sewickley Presbyterian and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
August 18th at 4:00 pm, we will have a joint outdoor service with the churches of Sewickley Presbyterian, St. Matthews AME Zion, St Paul’s Lutheran, and SUMC followed by a picnic.
Please remember that there will only be ONE SERVICE this Sunday at 10:30 am. It will be a joint service with our family at St. Matthew’s AME Zion Church. Our Church Family Picnic will follow after the service at War Memorial Park, Shelter #1.
Consider this an invitation to a planning meeting and a prayer initiative. The SUMC VBS team is holding its next planning meeting in the Simpson Room on April 21, shortly after the 11:00 am worship service ends. If you have committed to the project, or are wondering if there is a place for you, please join us.

Everyone is invited to the 2023 World Day of Prayer, Friday, March 3, 1:00 pm, at St. Matthews AME Zion Church (Walnut & Thorn Streets) followed by tea and refreshments.

We are having one combined worship service on July 31st at 11 am, followed by a time of lunch & fellowship, as we celebrate the start of the Sewickley Community Vacation Bible School.
