Our Ecumenical Lenten Services will begin here at SUMC on Ash Wednesday, February 18, at 6:00 pm.
Lenten growth groups start next week. Join Monday mornings on Zoom or Tuesday evenings in the Simpson Room.
The Children did an amazing job with the Lenten prompt, “Sensing God’s Grace.” Their artwork is still on display in the Simpson Room, and we highly encourage you to look at them, read them, and experience the feelings and thoughts they expressed on paper.
Holy Week begins next week with Palm Sunday, and there will be four more ecumenical services left.
We are inviting our SUMC children and youth to submit something creative as we approach Easter.
The Add1 Lenten prayer window of the week, as selected by the SUMC youth group/confirmation class, is as follows: first-responders.

Please consider joining the youth of SUMC in our Add1 Lenten prayer initiative. We’re adding a prayer each day on our walk towards Easter. Each week, we will open a new prayer window.
During Lent, we are gathering to worship with our siblings in Christ at St. Matthews AME Zion, Sewickley Presbyterian, and St. Paul’s Lutheran churches.
Join us Tuesdays at 6:30 pm in the Simpson Room for our Lenten Bible Study.
We will be taking monetary donations during our Lenten Ecumenical Services.
Our Ecumenical Lenten Services will begin here at SUMC on Ash Wednesday, March 5th, at 7:00 pm.
The last three Lenten services are being held at different times.
We will be joining St. Matthew’s AME Zion, St. Paul’s Lutheran, and Sewickley Presbyterian churches for our Sunday evening Lenten services.
Join us on Monday mornings at 5:30 a.m. as we have a time of devotion together over Zoom.
We will begin our first gathering of our Lenten journey at the Sewickley Presbyterian Church on February 14th at 7:00 pm with our community Ash Wednesday Service.
Please submit you donations by April 16 with your regular offering or through Vanco. Please mark your donation “Nyadire GEP.”
Lent is a season of preparation for Easter that lasts for 40 days, not counting Sundays, that spans from Ash Wednesday until Easter.
We will join together with other churches at Sewickley Presbyterian February 22 at 7 pm.
