Many notes of thanks for what our church members are doing both within and outside our walls.
On December 15th, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 3:00 pm, there will be an advent concert featuring music from several Sewickley-area church musicians, including our Clocktower Ringers! It will be followed by a cookie reception.
On December 6th, from 5:00–9:00 pm, we will once again be celebrating Light Up Night and opening our sanctuary to visitors!
On Sunday, May 26, we will observe Memorial Day, a time in which we remember fallen heroes who faithfully served our country.
Our children and youth will be leading worship on Mother’s Day (May 12), and students are invited to share their musical gifts in the worship services.

Spend Memorial Day with the Clocktower Ringers and Pastor Hannah.
The Clocktower Ringers will be performing at the Coast Guard Station on Saturday, May 27th, as well as in the 130th Annual Sewickley Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 29th.
On Sunday, March 12th, we will be celebrating 20 years of the handchimes and handbells music ministry at Sewickley UMC, with music from the SUMC Clocktower Ringers, the Jr. Clocktower Ringers, and the Rainbow Ringers.
We are celebrating Light Up Night and opening our sanctuary to visitors on Friday, December 2, 5:00 to 9:00 pm!
The Clocktower Ringers Handbell Choir begin rehearsals for the upcoming season on Thursday evening, September 8th, from 6:15 - 7:15 in the sanctuary.
Thanks to your donations, plus $500 from the Memorial Fund, the $2000 needed to cover the additional repairs our bells so greatly need has been raised.
Our handbells were sent to be refurbished over the summer. After taking them apart, they were found to be in worse shape than we suspected. We are asking the congregation for donations to help us cover the additional cost, so the handbells may be properly repaired.
Rainbow Handbells for Pre-K to 3rd Grade and Chimes for 3rd Grade and up rehearse Sundays between services.
Come be part of the new children’s Junior Ringer Ensemble. Rehearsals are in the classroom between the nursery and Mr. Bill’s Sunday School room on Sunday mornings.
There will be a Three Rivers Ringers concert at St. Stephen’s on Saturday, December 18th, at 4 pm. The handbell concert is free—they are only asking for donations. Masks are required.
This Friday, December 3, as Sewickley celebrates Light Up Night, there will be plenty of activity at SUMC!
We are always looking for substitute ringers for rehearsals and have one spot that is currently open for a weekly ringer.

There will be lots going on for Light Up Night at SUMC. Join us for Christmas music, a carol sing, and a live nativity in the sanctuary on December 6, from 6 - 8:30 pm.
