The Nurture Committee is looking to create a list of bakers or buyers who like to provide cookies or dessert whenever it is called upon for various receptions throughout the year. They’re also hosting several meals March 11–13th for an UMCOR training and looking for volunteers to help.
Our next distribution is Saturday 3/14 from 9:00–10:30 am.
The Patton Library Committee extends a warm congratulations to our Spelling Bee winner, Elizabeth Powell.
Please support the Learning Tree Preschool as they raise money for new work tables for the classroom with a purchase of a Sunseri pepperoni roll.
On Saturday, December 6th, from 9:00–10:30 am, SUMC volunteers will distribute fresh produce to residents of Northview Heights (NVH).
All Saints’ Sunday and a combined worship service will be held on November 9th at 10:00 am, with the Feast of Remembrance & Thanksgiving dinner to follow.
After worship on Sunday, November 9, join us for our Church Family Turkey Dinner.

Join us at the Sewickley Annual Harvest Festival on September 6, starting at 10:00 am, for fresh, made-to-order Walking Tacos with all the fixing.
On Saturday, August 2nd, from 9:00–10:30 am, SUMC volunteers will distribute fresh produce to residents of Northview Heights (NVH).
Sunday, July 20th, at 4:00 pm, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will be hosting their Strawberry Festival in their courtyard at 615 Washington St.
The Library Committee invites you to our annual church picnic where we break bread with our siblings from the AME Zion Church. We will provide the beef and veggie burgers and hotdogs. There will be one service on this date at 10:30 am.
As we accelerate into Vacation Bible School planning season, our most urgent need is finding a snack person, a snack team, or a snack family.
Activities include the UWF’s Rummage Sale for Missions, our walking taco stand, and the Learning Tree’s bake sale.
Join community members on the steps of Sewickley United Methodist Church on February 25th at 7:00 pm to lament racial injustice, heal our differences, repent of our own complicity, reconcile with those who are different from us, hope for a brighter future, and liberate ourselves from the shackles of racism.
On February 9th, our congregation will help Tackle Hunger by celebrating the Souper Bowl of Caring.
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr service of remembrance is on January 19th. We will have a shared meal together in the Simpson room at 4:00 pm followed by a worship service at 5:00 pm in the Sanctuary.
To help patrons of the food pantry prepare Thanksgiving dinner, Outreach is inviting you to fill a grocery bag with the non-perishable items traditionally used at Thanksgiving.
Please join the Witness Committee following the Traditional Service on Sunday, November 17, to discuss and provide insight on possible opportunities in ways to reach out to our community and enjoy a Walking Taco!
Following the 11:00 am service on November 3, everyone is invited to a meal in the Simpson Room.
