On Saturday, August 2nd, from 9:00–10:30 am, SUMC volunteers will distribute fresh produce to residents of Northview Heights (NVH). Located in the Northside, this under-resourced area has limited access to healthy foods. Every Saturday, the Northside Food Pantry Advisors, a non-profit group whose mission is to provide fresh food to their Northside neighbors, distributes fresh produce in NVH with the help of volunteer groups.
We need 6–8 volunteers and can always use more. Rides to the site are available. The location is 533 Pleasant Rd in Northview Heights. If you are available to help, contact Sharon Cowden by text or email, 412-292-5637 or cowdensharon@gmail.com. We could use more men and boys!
