National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. Sewickley’s fire and police departments are partnering to meet the community this year at the borough building on August 5 from 6:00–8:00 pm. This year, we are handing out new backpacks and school supplies (pencils, crayons, binders, notebooks, etc.) to families in our school districts who visit us on National Night Out. Thank you to those that have already donated. We have filled 13 backpacks! If you would like to donate, there is a bin in the hallway with a label for National Night Out. The collection will be until August 4 at SUMC.
