The Community VBS team will gather for a planning meeting Sunday, February 22, at 12:00 noon in the SUMC library.
We have two new groups, one for men and one for young adults. Get involved!
There will be a new members class beginning February 23rd and ending on March 30th.
Keeping you up to date on what our ministries have been doing and what they are planning to do in 2026.
The group will meet every other week starting on Saturday, January 10, from 7:00–9:00 pm, and will be guided by Johnathan Burnett.
On Sunday, December 7 and 14, the Education Committee will have a tabling session with the intention of growing our volunteer team.
We’re excited to share that SUMC Education is now online to help you stay connected and informed about upcoming classes, events, and opportunities for all ages.
Joyfully, everyone is invited to watch The Christmas Box on Sunday mornings in the Parlor after the 9:00 am service.
As we dress the basement classrooms in Haunted House gear, we will gather upstairs for Children’s Church during both worship services for the remainder of October.
We will begin gathering on October 28th at 6:00 pm to discuss The Book of Micah: A Prophet’s Vision of Justice and Mercy.
Hello everyone! My name is Violet, and I’m thrilled to be joining the team as your new Education Coordinator here at SUMC. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.
Our Youth Group has a lot of fun events planned this year! Get them on your family calendar now.
Beginning September 2nd, we will be doing a 6-week study called “Migration: Experiencing God’s Care For Immigrants,” by Alexis Busetti and Dorcas Cheng-Tozun.
The Education Team will gather in the Simpson Room after the 11:00 am worship service on August 17.
Our VBS children didn’t want to go home. We closed our “Block Party” VBS this past week with a lawn party that persisted into the darkness.
We’re walking into the new Children’s church school year through a new door. We call it “Decoration Day.”
The Education Team is looking for volunteers for our nursery, children’s church, and youth group programs.
Children and youth (preschool through high school) are invited to join the Education team for a “Back to School” party on the church lawn between services (10:00 am) on August 24th.
Children and youth are invited to participate in a “Chalk Walk” between worship services July 20th. We will use sidewalk chalk to share “thank you” and “you are loved” messages through the village of Sewickley.
As part of our commitment to nurturing young faith, each child entering 3rd grade this fall, received their very own Bible to read, learn from, and grow with on their spiritual journey.
