Looking Back on 2025 with Gratitude

As Treasurer, I want to take a moment to thank you for the faithfulness and generosity you showed throughout 2025. On behalf of the Leadership Board, please know how deeply grateful we are for the many ways you support the life and ministry of Sewickley United Methodist Church.

A Strong and Steady Financial Year

Because of your generosity and the careful stewardship of an approved operating budget, the church closed 2025 in a strong and stable financial position.

  • Total income for the year: $357,452

  • Total expenses for the year: $356,405

  • Net operating surplus: $1,047

This modest surplus reflects thoughtful budgeting, steady giving, and responsible expense management throughout the year.

Worship, Music, and Faith Formation

Your giving supported weekly worship and music through our traditional and contemporary services, choirs, ensembles, and seasonal offerings. It also sustained faith formation across all ages, including children’s and youth programming, adult studies, Vacation Bible School, and fellowship ministries that help build community and deepen faith.

Outreach and Service Beyond Our Walls

Generosity extended beyond our walls through outreach ministries, special offerings, and designated funds. These gifts allowed the church to support neighbors in need, partner with local and global mission organizations, and live out our calling to serve with compassion and care.

Supporting People and Places

Your gifts sustained the people and spaces that make ministry possible. They supported our pastor and staff, ensured ongoing pastoral care, and helped maintain our historic church building and parsonage. Giving also covered utilities, insurance, and technology needs that support worship, communication, and accessibility.

Caring for Today and Planning for the Future

Designated gifts and special funds were used as intended to support specific ministries and outreach efforts. Trust and endowment funds remain strong and stable, helping ensure the long term sustainability of the church’s mission.

On behalf of the Leadership Board, thank you for your generosity, your trust, and your commitment to Sewickley United Methodist Church. Whether through financial giving, volunteering, prayer, or presence, you are helping God’s work flourish here. It is truly a privilege to serve alongside you.
