Looking Back on 2025 with Gratitude
We’d like to take a moment to thank our families, staff, and supporters for the care, trust, and commitment you showed throughout 2025. Please know how grateful we are for the many ways you support our preschool community.
A Year of Care and Commitment
In 2025, the Learning Tree remained focused on what matters most, providing a nurturing, engaging, and high quality learning environment for our children. While the year concluded with a modest operating loss, our financial position remained stable, and the program continued to meet the needs of our families without disruption.
Investing in People and Programming
The majority of our expenses supported what families value most, our teachers and classroom experience. Tuition and fees covered most operating costs, while additional expenses reflected intentional investments in staff, enrichment activities, and special programming that enhance learning and build community.
Fundraising and Community Support
Fundraising efforts throughout the year helped offset program costs and reduce the overall shortfall. While these efforts did not fully close the gap, they played an important role in supporting classroom activities and special events that enrich the preschool experience.
Planning Ahead with Purpose
One important lesson from 2025 was the value of clearer financial planning. Unlike prior years, the Learning Tree entered 2026 with a formal operating budget in place. This budget strengthens transparency, improves accountability, and allows us to better plan for seasonal fluctuations and long term sustainability.
Early indicators for 2026 are encouraging. Tuition has been received on schedule, cash balances remain healthy, and the budget is structured to support a balanced year of operations.
With Gratitude
Thank you for your partnership and trust. Whether through tuition payments, volunteering, fundraising support, or simply being part of our preschool family, you help make the Learning Tree a warm, joyful, and enriching place for children to grow.
It is truly a privilege to serve this community.
With gratitude,
Learning Tree Preschool Board
