Fifty years after Stonewall, the experiences of LGBTQ+ Christians are, rightfully, beginning to be received with interest by their churches. In her book Queering Wesley, Queering the Church, author Keegan Osinski presents a prototype for thinking about Wesleyan holiness as an expansive openness to the love and grace of God in queer Christian’s lives rather than the limiting and restrictive legalism that is sometimes found in Wesleyan theology and praxis. On Saturday, October 22nd at 5:30 pm, join together for a fellowship dinner in Asbury Hall followed by a lecture with opportunity for Q&A with Keegan Osinski at Baldwin Community UMC (5001 Baptist Road, Pittsburgh). Please register by October 18th by calling the church office at 412-882-9300 or emailing info@baldwincommunityumc.com.
