There is a saying we would close our weekly Seeds of Hope (faith-based recovery program) meeting with: “One day at a time, take your time.” This would remind those at the meeting that recovery was possible but that it was a process that took time. This is true of most things in our lives. Good things take time and take work. Recovering from mental health challenges is possible also, but it takes time. Time is prayerfully the one thing that will be given to you, but the work is the one thing you must do yourself. But not alone—you do not have to do this alone. Together, we can achieve more good days.
