I love that Jesus calls himself a gate. With a gate, you have a choice: in or out. And Jesus says, with me, you can have both. The life that Jesus has come to teach us how to live was never meant to be a barrier to abundance, joy, and love. The life that Jesus has come to make accessible for us to live is about growth, freedom, and discovery. When Jesus becomes a barrier to someone receiving all that God has intended for us to have at the beginning of creation, that is no longer the truth of Jesus you are following. The only barrier Jesus ever built was the one that stops us from being consumed by death. Instead, Jesus is the way to life.
