I wonder if we need a new way to think about “the weakest among us.” When we read 1 Corinthians 12, about how we should be lifting up our weakest members, perhaps it is not in physical capability or economic standards alone. Perhaps, the weakest among us, which need to be surrounded and lifted up, are also the ones who have the weakest understanding of Christ. They are the ones who lack the most empathy, love, and compassion for others. What would it look like to show them the love that they are missing out on showing others?
