Acts chapter 10 is the story of two very different people: Peter, a Jew, and Cornelius, a Gentile military officer. Both receive a vision from God with instructions that will bring them together in a most unexpected way. When this happens, a fresh wind sent from God will fall among all who are gathered, breaking down the resistance and barriers that have kept them separated. Judged on the amount of space Luke gives to the story, we know we are dealing with a crucial concern of Acts, a pivot for the entire book, a turning point in the long story of God’s inclusive Love for all. “Come and See.”
