The darkness has a way of making our grief feel so intense and overwhelming. But remembrance can be like healing balm soothing the hurt in our hearts. All Saints Sunday gives us an opportunity to remember and to do it alongside others. That way, when the ache is present, we can lean into the light of those who have committed to help beat back the dark. This offers us the reminder that grief is not eternal, death does not have the final say, and life is everlasting.
