How about another fortune? This sentence can often be found on one side of your fortunes found in the fortune cookies. I have always felt this to be the most profound fortune. Have you ever asked a question about your life, shaken up the Magic 8 Ball, and then flipped it over hoping to get the answer you wanted? What if you didn’t like that answer? Would you shake it up again and continue flipping it till you got the one you wanted? Have you ever prayed to God to reveal to you an answer, only to actually receive one but then ask for something different? God is generous and willing to answer our prayers, just not always in the way we want. How can we learn to be content with the words from God even when they are hard to receive?
