Starting June 9th, join us for a 6-week study. On Tuesday evenings, we will meet at 6:00 pm at Jenine Furry’s house. We will examine the most difficult teachings of Jesus with Dr. Amy Jill Levine. Not everything that Jesus says leaves us feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. What does he really mean when he tells us to hate our families, act as if we were slaves, or sell all our belongings and give it to the poor? You can purchase your copy of The Difficult Words of Jesus through most major book suppliers.

We read daily devotions and associated Bible passages and discuss meaning, related experiences, and offer each other support for doing differently or better with Jesus as our guide. Sometimes, though, if a group member has had a particularly trying week or a peculiar experience, we deviate from the norm and talk and pray about that issue. We’re an assortment of differences, cultures, races, ages, and gender, and we welcome yours.
