The Home Goods Community Closet is now open, and we are accepting items for it!
It’s almost time to adorn our sanctuary with beautiful spring flowers. This year we will be ordering our Easter Flowers through the local florist, Florabelle.

On March 8th at 1:00 pm in the Sanctuary, we will be gathering with members of the Daniel B. Matthews Historical Society and the surrounding community.
The St. Matthews AME Zion Church and its Daniel B Matthews Historical Society will not be having their Pancake Breakfast this Saturday, March 8th.
During Lent, we are gathering to worship with our siblings in Christ at St. Matthews AME Zion, Sewickley Presbyterian, and St. Paul’s Lutheran churches.
As part of the Stewardship Team initiative, we agreed that a program on wills and planned giving would be a good thing. While the program is focused on those of us over sixty, it will certainly be open to anyone younger who is interested.
I would like to thank the Witness Committee and everyone (I counted 37) who attended the “Community Prayer Gathering: Racial Justice” event on the church lawn.

Ever wanted to learn a new language? Starting March 16th, the church will be offering weekly Spanish classes in the evenings to help in our new The Good Neighbor Ministry.
We are starting to prepare for Mother’s Day, and we want you to be a part of the service!
SUMC will be hosting a Life Line Screening event on April 9th.
Throughout March, the FOTC will be accepting donations of candy and small gifts (anything that fits inside plastic eggs) for our annual Easter egg hunt between services on Easter Sunday, April 20th.
The seasonal choir is assembling for Easter Sunday! Rehearsals are on Thursdays at 7:30.

All are invited to the Education team’s VBS meeting on March 2nd. We will gather in the Simpson Room shortly after the 11:00 am service.
