The Education Committee is seeking three essential components for our 2021 Easter Egg hunt: children, plastic eggs, and candy, or any small treats or gifts that might remind our youngest church family members that they are loved and included in the glory of Easter.
While regularly a source for those with food insecurities, GPCFB has been serving greater numbers during the COVID-19 pandemic. SUMC has sent financial contributions to GPCFB to aid in that service.
BHA has been relocated to the church next door that once housed the Church of Our Savior congregation. Tutoring is the focus at this time, as many children have had little instruction since March due to the many challenges of COVID era schooling. School supplies are needed. During February and March, SUMC will accept donations
Sewickley UMC is collecting Easter Bags for the food pantry. In addition, SUMC is accepting cash donations in order to provide each family with a Giant Eagle gift card, with which the family may purchase perishable items such as ham and eggs.
The Worship Committee is searching for people to serve on the Altar Guild. This position involves getting the sanctuary ready for worship.

Our children will be the first to begin a Lenten journey with Jesus through “John, The Gospel of Light and Life.” The first lesson, “Jesus is the Light,” will be shared by Ms. Laura Sunday in our Children’s Church live stream at 11:30 a.m.
