Thanks to all who contributed either completed kits or funds. 62 kits were delivered to East Brook Mission Barn. While the contents may seem minimal, these and cleaning kits do positively impact persons and families in crisis.
WPAUMC churches are asked to take a special Camping Sunday offering. To give to Camping Sunday, you may include your additional gift with your regular offering or use EasyTithe, marking “camping”.

We are invited to join with Pastor Hannah in reading through the Bible in a year. Download the outline, and read along. We will begin to read together on Sunday, October 4th. Beginning on November 2nd, I will send out a weekly devotional that engages some of the scripture we have read for that week.
The worship service will be live streamed beginning this Sunday, October 4th. That means when you tune in at 10 am via sewickleyumc.org, YouTube, or Facebook, the service will be happening as you watch it. Only the worship participants will be present in the sanctuary.

We received word that our pumpkins have been delayed in New Mexico. Once again, we will be collecting any unused Halloween candy, as well as microwave popcorn, hot chocolate mixes, and Starbucks gift cards to send to our college kids during exams. In addition to items for the boxes, we also need your college kids’ updated mailing addresses.
We are preparing 200 packaged “to go dinners” for the Center for Hope in Ambridge on Thursday, October 29.
The Cookie Walk is the fastest and the tastiest fundraiser for the church. We will sell more than 6,000 homemade pastries and goodies to the public on Saturday, December 12th, between 9 and 11 am.

The Fellowship of the Cross (FOTC) is selling Krispy Kreme original glazed doughnuts to those who pre-order them by Sunday, October 11, to help raise money to ship our shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.
We have heard from many people regarding questions of when we will return to in-person worship. The answer remains the same: we cannot say with certainty when that will happen. A couple of things have to take place before we can begin to discern a timeframe.
Pastor Hannah is on maternity leave, returning the week of December 14. During her absence, the Reverend Beth Nelson will be caring for our church. She is a retired clergy in our conference.
The Fellowship of the Cross kids (FOTC) will host the Operation Christmas Child shoebox packing opportunities in the Simpson Room on Saturday, October 24th, from 10 am to 4 pm and again on Sunday, October 25th, from 1 pm to 5 pm.
Pastor Hannah and Todd are pleased to announce the arrival of their son, Lincoln Todd Loughman. Lincoln was born yesterday weighing 9 pounds, 3 ounces and was 21 1/2" long. Mom and baby are doing well. Mom reports he is already eating good and sleeping even better. I'm sure Owyn and Jordyn are excited to welcome their little brother!
