The Sewickley Community Food Pantry continues to serve more families who need help with food. In January the greatest needs are pasta, pasta sauce, pancake mix, and syrup. Paper products are also welcome.

The crochet and knitting circle is continuing their mission project of making prayer shawls (both traditionally masculine and feminine) for a local hospice.
There is much to be thankful for.
The Home Goods Closet for our new El Buen Vecino Ministry is now underway, and we are accepting items for it!
This year, we continue our tradition of collecting Christmas gifts and new hats, mittens, gloves, scarves, and socks for the children and youth at Kidcelerate (formerly Bethany House) in the Northview Heights neighborhood in Pittsburgh.
Walking the Talk Charity is taking toy donations for their Free Christmas Toy Store which will be held here at the Church on December 14th from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. Volunteers are also needed.
On December 8th, SUMC will take a special collection for the UMC Western PA Conference’s Doors to Hope/Red Stocking programs.

Help families have warm, nutritious meals this fall. The Sewickley Community Food Pantry is seeking soups, meat-based stews, beans, spaghetti sauce, and pasta this month.
The Sewickley Community Food Pantry continues to need child-friendly foods during the summer months, especially pasta sauce, tomato sauce, pancake mix, syrup, ketchup, mayonnaise, cooking oils, peanut butter, jelly, and jam.
In honor of the men in our congregation, we will be collecting socks and underwear (new, not used please!) to give to a men’s shelter in Pittsburgh.
