Last call for donations to the Bethany House mitten tree and the shut-in gift bags. Please bring your donations to church Sunday, December 16th.
Thank you to everyone who is providing a Christmas gift for a child who attends the Bethany House. Your love and generosity will certainly touch the children and youth and let them know they are special and loved. If you haven’t yet brought in your gift, please bring it by Sunday at 10 am.
Everyone, middle-school aged through adult, please come to the “wrapping party” this Sunday between the services as we wrap the gifts for the Bethany House in the Simpson Room.

An offering will be divided between Doors to Hope and Red Stockings. Doors to Hope at Home supports six Western PA Conference agencies. Red Stocking supports the Health and Welfare Ministries of the Conference.
Scholarships and student loans are available to students who are members of the United Methodist Church. Student loans are available at interest rates as low as 3.75 percent (lower than federal educational loan rates) with a credit worthy co-signer.
$1,000 was sent to The Tree of Life Synagogue along with a letter of support. Please continue to pray for the congregation and community.
Thank you! Not only did the congregation pack 13 bags to help patrons of the food pantry prepare Thanksgiving dinner, the congregation fully funded the $15 gift card provided with each. Thank you for helping the Sewickley Community Center Food Pantry have complete Thanksgiving dinners.
As is our annual tradition, we will once again provide gifts to the preschool and after-school children of Bethany House. Please see Pam Honeychurch in the Simpson Room on Sunday after each service to claim a child you would like to sponsor.
To help patrons of the Sewickley Community Center Food Pantry prepare Thanksgiving dinner, Outreach is asking that you fill a grocery bag with the non-perishable items that are traditionally used at Thanksgiving.
In light of the horrific tragedy that happened at the Tree of Life Synagogue, Sewickley UMC is accepting a designated special offering to forward to the Tree of Life to use at its discretion in its recovery.

As a community outreach, Sewickley United Methodist Church will again offer story times to preschools visiting our pumpkin patch during October.

Outreach is seeking clothing to help a family in need with 3 children. Your gently used clothing for girls (sizes 6-6x and 8) and a boy (6) may be placed in the collection box in the Narthex. If you have any questions, please contact Martha Boward.
Now through early September, Sewickley UMC will be collecting donations of unopened packages of diapers and baby wipes. Jewish Children and Family Services (JCFS) assists refugee families as they arrive in the USA and as they transition to their new lives here.
This special offering will be received for the purpose of strengthening nurture, witness, and outreach in town and rural areas. If you wish to support Rural Life initiatives, mark your gift “Rural Life,” and include it with your regular offering. You may also use EasyTithe, selecting Rural Life from the drop down box.
We are still in need of about 10 more Christmas trees to use as “forest” decorations for VBS next week. If you would be willing to lend us one (or more) for next week, you can drop it off at church this week and leave it in the youth room downstairs, marked with your name. You could also drop it off on Saturday, between 10 am and 2 pm, when FOTC hosts their car wash, or bring it to church on Sunday. We will need them by Sunday, at the latest, because we will begin decorating right after church. They can be picked up the following Sunday, 8/12.
