Our next Community Prayer Gathering will be on Tuesday, June 3rd, at 7:00 pm to celebrate our siblings in the LGBTQIA+ community.
The Add1 Lenten prayer window for the week of April 16–22, as selected by the junior bells choirs, is as follows: Life.
On Wednesday, April 23rd, the Witness Committee will be holding a Community Prayer Gathering regarding addiction and the struggles surrounding it. We will be gathering on the front lawn of the church at 7:00 pm.
The Add1 Lenten prayer window for this week, as selected by the Mother’s Day Dancers is “children’s hospitals.”
All are invited to participate in the monthly Prayer Group meeting. The April meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 9th, at 10:00 am in the parlor.

Please consider joining the youth of SUMC in our Add1 Lenten prayer initiative. We’re adding a prayer each day on our walk towards Easter. Each week, we will open a new prayer window.
I would like to thank the Witness Committee and everyone (I counted 37) who attended the “Community Prayer Gathering: Racial Justice” event on the church lawn.
Join community members on the steps of Sewickley United Methodist Church on February 25th at 7:00 pm to lament racial injustice, heal our differences, repent of our own complicity, reconcile with those who are different from us, hope for a brighter future, and liberate ourselves from the shackles of racism.
Sewickley’s 2025 World Day of Prayer service will be held on the first Friday in March—March 7—at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 616 Washington Street, at 1:00 PM. Please save the date, and make plans to attend.
On February 25th we will gather from 7:00 to 8:00 pm, starting on the front lawn for a time of communal prayer and then transitioning into the Simpson Room for refreshments and further conversation about how we can engage in Anti-Racism work.
