The Children’s Church kids, as is our tradition, will be planting flowers around the Sewickley UMC campus on Sunday, May 18, during the 9:00 am and 11:00 am worship services.
We would like to thank and applaud everyone who contributed love and energy to the nursery, Children’s Church and the Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday in April.
We are inviting our SUMC children and youth to submit something creative as we approach Easter.

Keeping you up to date on what our ministries have been doing and what they are planning to do in 2025.
Starting on September 8th, Children’s Church and Youth Group will be back underway. We are looking for additional volunteers who are interested in being a second volunteer in the Nursery, with Children’s Church, Fellowship of the Cross, or Youth Group.
Children’s Church, during the 11:00 am service, is looking for 1-2 adult leaders and 1-2 assistants, each serving once a month.
The Sewickley UMC will be collecting coloring books, crayons, and flowers in May.
Our children and youth will be leading worship on Mother’s Day (May 12), and students are invited to share their musical gifts in the worship services.
We are still looking for responses to our Education Survey. Please take a moment to share your thoughts about education for all age groups at our church. You can fill out the digital survey, or talk to Grace or Felicity to get a paper version.
It’s almost time for Children’s Church to start, and we are excited for a new year to be working with your precious children.

Sunday, May 21st, will be the final morning of the 2022-2023 Children's Church school year. Following tradition, the children will be planting flowers around the church during their time together during the 9:00 and 11:00 am services.
The Children’s Church, May 14, 11:00 am service will be cancelled so that our children can be with their mothers and celebrate in a special way (shhhhh)!
Children’s Church will start on September 11 after the Children’s Message during both services for elementary and younger aged children. There will be no children’s classes at 10 am.
Children of all ages are invited to join the children’s ministry team for an Easter Egg Hunt between worship services on Easter morning (April 17).
On Sunday mornings in September, beginning September 13, the SUMC Education Committee will provide special programming for students in kindergarten through 5th grade during the 9 am contemporary worship service. There will be similar programming during the 11 am worship service.
For the month of September, at the 11 am service, we will be learning about FOLLOWING JESUS.
A survey has been mailed to our parents to seek their input concerning our children’s Sunday School and Children’s Church. Please respond to help finalize our plans. A new start date will be published.
