The SUMC Crochet and Knitting Group is excited about a new ministry project! We are making cotton sacks to hold bars of soap to be given to shelters for those experiencing homelessness. Our first donations will be given to Northside Ministries after receiving a request from Pleasant Valley Men’s Shelter for 100 soap sacks! We are looking for anyone willing to learn a few basic crochet skills to help with this meaningful outreach project. No previous experience is necessary—we’re happy to teach! Soap sacks are simple to make and are a wonderful way to share God’s love. If you are interested in joining us or would like to learn more, please stop by at 10:00 am Sundays in the Simpson room. Supplies can be provided. We’d love to have you join us as we serve our neighbors together!
