This may be the easiest request we have made in our 15-year ministry history: the FOTC is collecting unwanted (are they ever wanted?) plastic grocery bags through March 18. There is a group in Canonsburg that is collecting plastic bags, which will be converted into sleeping mats for the homeless. The mats provide a lightweight, waterproof, comfortable layer for those sleeping in challenging spaces, and re-purposing the bags keep them from damaging the environment. Please leave your bags in the FOTC bins in the narthex and in the hallway that leads to the library. We need to deliver them to Canonsburg on March 21. For more information, see Bill Utterback or Grace Rogansky. We are grateful, always, for your support.
