Let’s warm up this winter with some fun!
The Patton Library Committee will host an Adult Spelling Bee.
Date: Sunday, January 25th, 2026 after the Traditional Service, approximately 12 noon
Location: Simpson Room
Details: We’ll begin with a light lunch followed by the Bee.
Do you have what it takes to be a Spelling Bee contestant?
All contestants must be 16 years or older.
Rules will closely follow the National Spelling Bee; therefore, contestants will be required to spell words orally and not be able to use pen and paper.
Audience members can join in the fun, too, and spell quietly in their seats using their own spell cards for a chance to win a prize.
Please reach out to Sandra Lane by phone, or text (412) 841-7169, to be a contestant or if you’d like to contribute something to our potluck luncheon before the Bee. Registrations for contestants will close on January 20th.
Depending on how many contestants sign up, there may be a separate preliminary round on January 24th at 11:00 am.
Hope to see you there!
