Children and youth are invited to participate in a “Chalk Walk” between worship services July 20th. We will use sidewalk chalk to share “thank you” and “you are loved” messages through the village of Sewickley. If we have enough young artists, and enough chaperones, we will send out multiple groups to share God’s Love with our community. We will finish by sharing popsicles on the playground. Young chalk artists should dress appropriately for walking on a warm morning. We will meet on the playground immediately after the 9:00 am contemporary service concludes. The Chalk Walk is a step toward our VBS “Block Party: Building God’s Kingdom,” which will be held on August 3–6 on the SUMC campus. The VBS team sees sharing love and gratitude as essential components of building God’s communities. For more info, see Bill Utterback.
