Dear SUMC Family,

The Fellowship of the Cross would like to thank everyone who supported our Ornaments 4 Orphans campaign in the weeks leading to Christmas 2022. Together, we were able to raise more than $900, which will be committed to artisans, their families, and their communities in Africa, Peru, and Nepal.

040, according to its website, works to provide support for “orphans and vulnerable children… We create jobs, fight poverty, preserve intact families, empower communities, and ultimately prevent children from becoming orphans.”

FOTC is, as always, grateful for the support and encouragement we received from everyone who visited our Christmas tree in the back of the sanctuary. We are sustained by the many ways you reflect God’s love.

Sincerely,
Grace Rogansky

Dear Friends at Sewickley United Methodist Church,

You all keep giving so generously to the Sewickley Community Center Food Pantry, and we are ever so thankful! The regular food donations, the “special” bags (Easter, Thanksgiving, and breakfast items), and the Souper Bowl of Caring proceeds have all bolstered our pantry shelves throughout this year and allowed us to purchase meats for our freezer… all to help our neighbors in need. So many have expressed their gratitude, and we pass that along to you!

Gratefully,
Robert C. Patterson, Jr.
President, Board of Directors, Sewickley Community Center

Dear Members of the SUMC,

Thank you for the wonderful basket full of all kinds of gifts. It is so very kind of all of you.

Lots of love to you all,
Mignon Emmert

To My Dear Church Family,

Thank you for the many cards you have sent me. I especially love the adorable handmade cards I’ve received from the children each month. You are all so thoughtful to remember me. I enjoy reading over and over the wonderful messages, and I display your cards on my bulletin board. They help fill my room with your love.

Love,
Sylvia Bajsec

Dear Friends in Mission,

Thank you! The dear people you just helped with your gifts for our response to help those impacted by the war in Ukraine and for those in the US impacted by natural disasters may never have the opportunity to meet you, but if they did, I am certain their response would be - Thank you!

Since 1940, UMCOR has served as the humanitarian agency of The United Methodist Church, providing disaster response and relief to areas impacted by natural and man-made disasters around the world. And through your financial support, you are serving within a vital network of interactive relationships as UMCOR responds to increasingly-frequent and destructive storms—sharing 100% of donated funds with those in need!

Together, may we continue to reveal the love of God for men, women, and children of all ethnic, racial, cultural, and national backgrounds and to demonstrate genuine love for our neighbors.

Grace and Peace,
Roland Fernandes, General Secretary
United Methodist Commission on Relief
