Dec 8th: Youth Group meeting

We are planning a cookie decorating party, games, and lots of fun activities to celebrate the birth of our Savior! We’ll have lunch around noon (after the service is over), then start up activities around 1:00 and finish by 3:00.

Jan 12: Youth Group Meeting and Miracle Ministries

Our January meeting will be on Jan. 12th, which is also a congregational luncheon and brainstorming for ideas on how to use the ministry money from Miracle Sunday. We will participate in the brainstorming to be sure that the youth get their say in how the funds will be used, then head downstairs for some discussion and games. The luncheon will start around noon, and we will finish by 3:00.

Jan 17: Winterjam

We are planning to attend Winterjam 2020 at the PPG Paints Arena. The show starts at 7:00, but we like to get there early to have a good spot in line, so we will try and leave the church around 4:00 and carpool to the city. We’ll get dinner to eat while we wait for the show, which includes performances by Crowder, Building 429, and Andy Mineo (among many others). This is a great first concert, as there are lots of different styles of music, so you can figure out what really speaks to you. The concert costs $15, and we welcome youth and adults to come with us. We should return home between 11 pm and midnight. Let Susie know if you are interested in coming along!

Jan 24-26: SPARK

We’ve got a great group attending Spark this year and have had a wonderful blessing to support our trip. Church council approved a motion from the Pumpkin Patch Committee to designate $2,000 of the proceeds from the pumpkin patch to the youth group. This means we have the funds to cover $140 for each person attending Spark, so anyone who is coming only owes $50 for the weekend.

June 24-28: Creation Fest 2020

Our last big event of the year, Creation is a fantastic music festival in Mt Union, PA. We camp for the week and attend concerts and worship sessions for 4 days. We can’t stress enough what a meaningful event this is for those who are able to attend, and we encourage all the youth to come with us. It costs $125 for adults, $50 for youth (ages 7-18), and $25 for kids under 7, and that includes entrance to all concerts, camping, and all food other than dinners. We’ve already purchased tickets, but will still be able to get tickets through May. The price goes up after this weekend, so we can’t guarantee the cost. Let Susie know ASAP if you are considering coming with us.
