Children's Sunday School

Children's Sunday School Class is for children Aged 2 - 8th Grade.

Sunday School classes begin with a brief opening to introduce the theme, sing a song, and pray. Then a guest storyteller relates a story from the lectionary and expands on the theme. Children then move to centers or 'zones' in small groups, where they complete an activity to explore the message. Types of zones have included: drama, arts and crafts, outreach projects, music, prayer, and games and puzzles.

Also available is a Nursery Center, so please bring your toddlers to sing, play, and learn on Sunday mornings. Parents can enjoy a class for themselves, or assist with one of our centers downstairs.

For more information, contact Kim Benjamin or Susan Moffett.

Children's Church

After the Children's Time (during Sunday morning worship services), an adult leader and youth volunteer escort children 4 years through 5th grade to the Upper Room adjacent to the Simpson Room for their own worship program.

The children have the opportunity to share a "new and good" event from the previous week then a Christian video theme is discussed, the watched, and followed by questions and discussion.

The children have an opportunity to develop friendships in a supportive atmosphere, while Christian principles are strengthened and reinforced.
