Rural Life Special Offering on August 14th

10:17:06 pm, by Jack Moffett Email

As the Apostle Paul traveled across the rural landscape of northern Greece, he found partners for his ministry in both the scattered villages, as well as in major urban centers, such as Philippi. Paul’s letters reveal his earnest desire to build relationships between the diverse people of these scattered congregations so that their leaders would not feel isolated. Through the proceeds of the Rural Life Sunday Offering, the Small Church Task Force of the Western Pennsylvania Conference has been able to form new partnerships, enhance vitality among our town and country congregations, and provide training for those in leadership in small membership churches. One of our major goals has been to train Partnerstep coaches to help congregations form stronger shared ministries. By developing new relationships based upon shared identity and missional vision, Western Pennsylvanian congregations can be joined into healthier cooperative ministries and more active cluster units. Please use the “blue” envelopes or mark a check or envelope “Rural Life".
